Sengoku

Sengoku1.png

Former Fleet Admiral Sengoku (Sengoku Gensui) was thesupreme commander of all the Marine forces in the world, his status apparent by the life-size seagull attached to his hat. He was one of the major figures along with Edward Newgate, Shiki, and Monkey D. Garp while Gol D. Roger was still alive, and still continues to be in the present, even after his resignation from the Marines.

Sengoku is a tall and muscular, yet spry, roughly middle-aged man with a long braided beard and a mustache. He is usually seen alongside his pet goat. He typically wears glasses and a full Marine Admiral uniform that is adorned with medals. The most distinctive features of this uniform are a life-size seagull on top of his cap and his oversized Marine coat, which he wears like a cape. His cap covers his hair, which is set in a large afro. When he uses his powers, his hat is knocked off, revealing his afro.

Twenty years before the present storyline, when Sengoku was already an Admiral, he did not cover his afro and had a beardless face. During his orders to Saul to bombard Ohara, he wore a less-regal attire than he does in the present storyline, a simple black tank top, blue jeans, and his glasses, which is unlike a typical Admiral's formal suit; the only Marine related attire he wore at the time apparently was his Marine coat, draped over like a cape. However, when he was fighting Shiki in Marineford, he was wearing a black suit under his coat.

Sengoku appears to be a proud man who is loyal to the World Government and, up until the cover-up of the Impel Down incident, never questioned orders. He also won't accept any reason for letting a criminal go and also has a habit of getting very irritated with failure. While it has not been revealed what kind of justice Sengoku follows, he certainly does not shy away from actions that falls under the code of Absolute Justice. From his view, the Shichibukai are just pirates, though he notes how valuable they can be when the time comes. However as the years went by, he appears to be losing his faith in the government, shown after the Whitebeard War when he was angry at the order from the government to cover up the break-out incident in Level 6 of Impel Down to save face and keep the faith of the people, thus placing nations in danger. This eventually led Sengoku to resign from the Marines.

As of late, it would seem that he has become concerned over the movements of the Straw Hat Pirates, and has followed their movements ever since they left Water 7, though at the time his current concern was about the upcoming war against Whitebeard, to the point that he brushed off the incident of the attack of a Tenryuubito and left it to the Admirals. Upon hearing about Luffy's break-in of Impel Down, Sengoku was so frustrated that he almost took it out on Garp, and had come close to losing his patience with the antics of the Monkey family in general.

Sengoku also believes that a person's birth (with the consideration of the parents' reputation) is enough to determine the potential impact they could bring to the world if left unchecked, such as Ace being Roger's son and Luffy being Dragon's son. This is shown at Ace's execution where one of the main reasons for Ace's execution was not because he was a pirate, but because he was the son of Gol D. Roger and he believed that Ace must be executed by any means necessary even if that meant an all out war with Whitebeard.

His epithet Sengoku the Buddha may seem ironic at best because through the course of the series, he has shown himself to be an extemely calm, composed, collected man, he has also shown himself to be quite capable of violence. Doflamingo remarked on this irony when the Shichibukai convened at Mariejois to chose a successor for Crocodile. However, with the revelation of his Devil Fruit, it would seem his epithet's origins come from his fruit's ability, exactly like the three current Admirals. He also appears to have some common sense, as shown when he ordered the Whitebeard War to be over and ordered for people to tend to the wounded. His Justice isn't as uncompromising as Akainu's; it seems to be more of a mix of both absolute and moral justice, as he did make a large speech about morality. He also called the war to an end upon Ace and Whitebeard's demises, after Shanks made his appearance. An another hint of Moral Justice is also shown when he got infuriated when the World Government decided to cover-up the break-out of the Level 6 Impel Down prisoners released by Blackbeard, although he once said not to question the World Government's orders.

Twenty two years ago, Sengoku was shown to be loyal to the World Government and did not like anyone questioning them, he was shown though to be losing his trust in them, especially the Gorousei, as the years went by. This was proven by showing how angry he was at the Government's decision not to put bounties on the many criminals who had escaped from Level 6 of Impel Down. This is also shown by his outburst at their decision to keep quiet about the breakout, even though any one of the escapees could potentially destroy a country.

As the commanding officer of the entire Marine force, Sengoku had absolute power over every action the Marines do, including summoning a Buster Call. The only ones that are above him and command him are the Gorousei and Commander-in-Chief Kong. However, with his resignation came the loss of such authorities.

24 years ago, when Shiki was causing havoc in Marineford hearing about the capture of Roger, Sengoku fought alongside Garp and together, they were powerful enough to subdue him, whilst destroying half the city in the process, and also keeping him imprisoned in Impel Down. Even without using his Devil Fruit powers, it is implied that Sengoku also has superhuman strength on his own, enough to hold down an enraged Garp.

He is also a military commander of the highest order, as demonstrated at Marineford. He is shown to have organizational and tactical skill, as his "Squardo plan" resulted in Squardo critically injuring Whitebeard and his "Siege Wall Plan" combined with Admiral Akainu's Meteor Volcano has succeeded in routing the Whitebeard Pirates and their allies, which led to the destruction of the crew's flagship, the Moby Dick. He was referred to as "Strategist Sengoku the Buddha", an apt name.

Sengoku ate the "Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu", a rarer-than-LogiaJustify Full Mythical Zoan-class Devil Fruit which allows him to turn into almost like Buddha and becoming similar to a gigantic Daibutsu, which is probably the reason for his nickname. Nearby Marines claim that they have never seen him use this power before the war.

While enlarging, his Marine jacket, glasses, and pants enlarge with him; it is unclear what happens to the rest of his uniform. The color of his body (and uniform) seems to change to a dark color, appearing to be ominously shadowed at all times. In this form his body has different proportions, his torso and arms are much larger compared to the rest of his body.

This ability gives him a massive power boost to his already impressive strength, enough to cause the execution stand to collapse in one indirectly connecting punch, and that despite Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Gigant Fuusen which had absorbed the brunt of the attack.

Madara Uchiha

Madara Uchiha (Uchiha Madara) is a major antagonist of the series. He co-founded Konohagakure and Akatsuki, and was once the leader of the Uchiha clan.hen first introduced, he poses as Tobi, Deidara's partner in Akatsuki.

Before the era of ninja villages, Madara was the most gifted member of the Uchiha clan. Even by his clan's standards, Madara's chakra was unusually strong. He grew up in constant competition with his younger brother, Izuna Uchiha. In their efforts to surpass the other, each gained their own Mangekyō Sharingan. With the power of the Mangekyō the two brothers took control of the clan, with Madara acting as its leader. Under his leadership, the clan conquered all they came across. Because of the never-ending series of battles of the time, Madara eventually began to suffer from overuse of the Mangekyō Sharingan, leaving him blind. In order to regain his sight he took Izuna's eyes for himself, granting him an "eternal" Mangekyō Sharingan with which he led the Uchiha to prosperity. Madara insists Izuna consented to the act.

Over the years, the Uchiha had constantly fought with the equally powerful Senju clan. To bring an end to the constant fighting, the leader of the Senju, Hashirama Senju, approached the Uchiha with an offer of peace. Although Madara never wanted peace with the Senju, the rest of the Uchiha wished to end the fighting, and Madara had no choice but to accept. The Senju, the Uchiha, and all the clans they had conquered came together to form the village of Konohagakure. Against Madara's wishes, the villagers selected Hashirama as the village's First Hokage. Madara feared that Hashirama would oppress the Uchiha, and tried to rally support for challenging his leadership. Rather than help him, however, the Uchiha turned their backs on him, believing he only desired more power. Abandoned by his clan, Madara left the village, later returning in order to challenge Hashirama in battle. They fought at the site that would someday be called the Valley of the End, where Madara used the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox against Hashirama. Control of the Nine-Tails was ultimately taken from him and Madara was believed to have died.[5] Despite appearing to have been defeated and gravely weakened, he was somehow able to acquire a sample of Hashirama Senju's flesh to aid him in his future goals.[

Originally Madara's appearance bears long, spiky shoulder-length black hair with a blue tint. Unlike Izuna, Madara did not keep it tied in a ponytail. He also wore the standard Uchiha clan's outfit: a high collared black shirt with the clan's crest on his upper back and blue pants with bandages at the ends, though Madara tends to leave the collar of his shirt open. On his waist, he had a bandage belt that held a sack that presumably holds ninja tools.

After his fight with Konan, Madara's mask was changed to one that covers the entire upper-half of his head with a design that more resembles the Ten-Tailed Beast's single eye, consisting of a ripple-pattern with three tomoes around the center, two of which make out the mask's eye holes. He also returned to wearing his Uchiha black robes complete with Uchiha crest on its back, belt sash, gloves and a bandanna that tapers off down to his back, as well as wielding his war fan.

Madara is considered to be one of the most gifted ninja in history. He has been noted to have been born with particularly powerful chakra which the Nine-Tails claimed to be even more sinister than its own. Said to be the most powerful shinobi ever produced by the Uchiha clan, Madara possesses both formidable battle prowess and vast experience due to his advanced age. However, Madara has admitted that he is not as powerful as he was before his defeat by Hashirama Senju. The Nine-Tails' sealing into various jinchūriki also deprives him of a powerful weapon.

Madara had mastered his Sharingan at a young age, and received praise for this. With his Sharingan, Madara was able to apply a powerful genjutsu that allowed him to completely control the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura. Being of the Uchiha clan and somehow possessing the power of Hashirama Senju, Madara is able to use Izanagi: a technique his clan deemed a kinjutsu since the user's Sharingan is stricken with blindness and sealed away forever. His usage of the technique during his battle against Konan led to the sealing of his left eye.

After he stole Nagato's body, Madara removed his Rinnegan and implanted it into his left eye, replacing the Sharingan lost due to the usage of Izanagi.[16] The Rinnegan allows the user to use all six elemental natures as well as all the abilities of the Six Paths of Pain, since they are all Rinnegan abilities.

Naruto 518 Review - Abush vs Ambush

The status of the war.
Well the first fight begun between two ambush squads, everything was looking great for team Kabuto at the beginning but the role changed greatly in this chapter, however there's a big question... is this really over? or we are about to see a counterattack from the mist shinobi?. At this point Deidara and Sasori have been captured inside sanshouuo, however considering the experience of Sasori, we can expect a possible escape from this puppet or at least being released by mist shinobi.

There are thing that worries me about Kabuto, honestly I've never seen Kabuto being a genius as strategist, but as someone who can't be read and can be really tricky, we don't know yet what he is really after, neither what he is planning to do at the moment... why would he involve himself in a war that could last years like the previous shinobi wars, why would he wait quietly for Madara to hand over Sasuke, when it's clear that he can deal with Madara, or not?

Kankuro
Honestly I never expected Kankuro to become this good as character, this a clear sign of how good Kishimoto can makes character off-screen, he is good coordinating his troops and also did an amazing job with hiding Sanshouuo, still however the question remains, will it be enough against Edo Tensei?, are they just planning to restrain every ET till they find Kabuto?

Kankuro have done a great job, he have been reacting quickly to the situation and also performing greatly in this battle, not just as Captain, but also as fighter, however like in the Opera, is not over till the lady sings.

Sai
Sai is really an amazing fighter, maybe the best fighter in terms of techniques among the 12 current konoha rookies (and that's counting him in). I'm talking about hand to hand techniques, obviously you would say, what about lee?... well Sai is quite skilled in that area showing to deal properly with really powerful shinobi, like Sasuke.

However he was mentally affected by Shin's presence... in both ways positively and negatively. When he was fighting him he couldn't stop a second thinking that he was in fact fighting the real shin and that caused him to go into defensive mode, instead of offensive mode... but when Shin was gone, it cause him to show rage, maybe for first time ever in the manga, as most of the time he is expressionless.

Omoi's cloud style
Omoi has changed, there's not much time to think in war, at least no when you are in battle. I found the cloud style, like a reference to Konoha's wind style, the one used against Yuura... however it was quite cool that he was able to cut chakra threads.

The big question is here, is that a special knife, a chakra knife or something?, that should be explained in the next chapter.

Sasori and Deidara-ni
It was a bad day for Deidara and Sasori, they were doing really great in the previous chapter and had the control of the situation, for some of us maybe the fight were too quick (or at least it seems so far), but it was supposed to be like this when it comes about so many characters fighting at the same times, it had to be different.

Deidara and Sasori both had an advantage and a disadvantage. Their techniques and abilities are known... and so their weaknesses, but also they know how to deal with ET when Needed. The only advantage they have is the immortality granted by Edo Tensei.

Edo Tensei
So what we knew about Edo Tensei?, We knew that it:
  1. Requires dust from the tomb or place of death of the soul to be summoned
  2. It grants immortality to the summon as long the techniques remains active
  3. The only ways to totally defeat the technique is by extracting and sealing the summoned soul or by forcing the caster to release the jutsu.
  4. Edo Tensei can stay active even if the caster dies.

However it seems that if you don't erase the personality of the summoned, it can actually release the jutsu by a strong emotions. This could be another weakness of Edo Tensei in general or maybe of the Talisman Kabuto is used. If is one on one battle leaving the feelings might result effective, but in squad vs squad situations like this could show up.

This could happen again in scenarios like Tsunade vs Dan, Neji vs Hizashi, Sakura vs Chiyo, etc.

Eye of The Moon Plan

File:Infinite Tsukuyomi.jpg

The Eye of the Moon Plan is Madara Uchiha's ultimate plan for world domination, which seems to involve using Sasuke Uchiha to synchronize with the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, which holds seven of the nine tailed beasts gathered by Akatsuki. Madara notes that after Sasuke has failed to capture Killer Bee and the Eight-Tailed Giant Ox, he has been cautious for too long, and that it is time to emerge from the shadows and commence with this plan. During his attack on Konoha, Madara named "starting a war to bring peace" as the reason for the attack, a poetic way to describe his ultimate plan.

After Madara revealed this plan to four of the five Kage at the Land of Iron, they responded in refusing to hand over the last two jinchūriki, Naruto Uzumaki and Killer Bee, and formed an Allied Shinobi Forces to prevent the Moon's Eye Plan from succeeding.

The Plan

Madara's plan is to gather all the tailed beasts in order to fuse them back into their original form, the Ten-Tailed Beast. He will then become jinchūriki to the Ten-Tails giving him immense power and the ability to project his Mangekyo Sharingan on to the moon. He intends to use the moon, the prison of the Ten-Tails body, to cover the world in an "Infinite Tsukuyomi", thereby letting him control every living being, creating a world in which no war or crime occurred.

Part of his plan was to have Zetsu attract the attention of the five Kage at the Kage Summit and lure them to fight against Sasuke Uchiha. In doing so, Madara hoped that the five would be weakened enough for him to take them as hostages to negotiate the capture of the Eight-Tailed Giant Ox and Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. This, however, ended in failure, due to Sasuke exhausting himself almost to the point of death after combating the combined forces of the Fourth Raikage and his bodyguards, the Fifth Kazekage and his bodyguards, Mifune, the Fifth Mizukage and one of her bodyguards, and the Third Tsuchikage. Danzō Shimura, the Candidate Sixth Hokage, escaped.

Let's wait for some updates, i will be updating this blog soon.. Spoilers will be coming soon.. thank you

Sichibukai

All Shichibukai.jpg

The Shichibukai the full title being Ōka Shichibukai (Royal Seven Military Seas), are seven (reduced to four after the Battle of Marineford) powerful and well-known pirate captains who have allied themselves with the World Government.

The Shichibukai is an organization of seven former pirates turned privateers in the service of the World Government. Although they work for the World Government, the Shichibukai do not care about or respect the Government (excluding Bartholomew Kuma, who was transformed into their puppet) or even other Shichibukai, and are often considered by the Marines to be no different from any other pirate. On the other hand, they are known as "government dogs" and are despised by other pirates, but are still feared and respected for their infamous reputation and strength before, and even after they become Shichibukai.

The Shichibukai seem to be a mixture of the more chaotic Yonkou and the more orderly Marines. There is an enormous range in the bounties between the members due to differences in circumstances under which they were recruited, with Donquixote Doflamingo, who has the highest known former bounty of the Shichibukai at 340,000,000, Hancock with a comparatively low bounty of 80,000,000 (however this was her starter bounty, so far the highest known) and Blackbeard, with no former bounty at all.

The majority of the Shichibukai are composed of New World veterans. Those who have met the Yonkou or even confronted them.

The terms that the Shichibukai are on with each other is best described as very unstable. They practically have very little (if any) respect for each other and will for the most part not accept help from one another, apparently from a firm sense of pride. During the battle meeting for the Shichibukai where only two members are absent (Hancock and Jinbe) it is even stated that the very notion of them working together as a team is entirely unthinkable. However Kuma and Doflamingo don’t disregard the notion of teaming up with another Shichibukai: Kuma offered Moriah help defeating the Straw Hats and Doflamingo offered Crocodile a chance to team up. Both offers were refused due to pride.

During Boa Hancock’s visit at Impel Down’s Level Six, Jinbe stated that he didn’t know much about her, possibly suggesting that only some of the Shichibukai are familiar with each other or even have personally met all the other members. Despite this as of chapter 575, all of the Shichibukai (including former) fought at the war between the Whitebeard Pirates and the Marines.

Most of the Shichibukai have a jaded attitude of the world, as their vast amounts of experience have disillusioned them. Crocodile and Moriah both disregard Luffy’s arrogant behavior, saying that he is too inexperienced to know what the world is truly like; Mihawk behaved in a similar fashion in his duel with Zoro. Doflamingo believes that there is no true justice in the world, and that both the Marines and Pirates are foolish if they think that they are upholding it. Hancock, through her horrid experience as a slave, considers all men of the world to be scum, outside of Luffy with whom she is in love, Rayleigh who is her "benefactor," and Fisher Tiger who was responsible for freeing her from slavery.
